The Honda HR-V is a sub-combact crossover SUV that was originally made available in 2015, but has been slated to receive a refreshed look and new features for the 2019 line-up. Let’s take a look at what Honda has in store for the future of the HR-V.

While minor, one of the most obvious changes to the HR-V is the re-styled exterior. Honda’s signature ‘flying wing’ grille accent now extends over the entire front of the vehicle, lending it an aggressive brooding appearance. Complemented by smoked turn signal lenses and dark chrome highlights, the 2019 HR-V feels a bit more posh than its predecessors. The addition of several new exterior color options, such as Orange Burst Metallic, Midnight Amethyst Metallic and Platinum White Pearl, expand the options available for a wider range of aesthetic tastes. In addition to these standard features, the 2019 Sport and Touring trims include highlights such as a honeycomb pattern grilles, multi-element LED headlights and 17-inch alloy wheels.

Regardless of exterior choices, the 2019 HR-V lineup has received a full upgrade of its safety systems. Now equipped with the Honda Sensing safety and driver-assistive technology suite, the updated HR-V now includes features like a Collision Mitigation Braking System, Road Departure Mitigation, Lane Keeping Assist System and Adaptive Cruise Control. The inclusion of Honda Sensing on the 2019 HR-V EX trim and above marks the first time that all Honda models have included the revolutionary new system.

While previous years have seen a fit and capable HR-V roaming the streets, the latest generation 2019 Honda HR-V is set to ensure this model makes an impression for generations to come.
